For many this presentation will serve as an introduction to the Hoch Lab. While NMR spectroscopy is one of our major tools, our overriding interest is to understand the forces that contribute to the structure, dynamics, and stability of proteins. A few short vignettes will be presented that illustrate our activities and aspirations: recent results on the structure of human Prolactin, water-protein interactions, and experimental and theoretical probes of molecular dynamics.
