DS Calorimetry
http://www.microcalorimetry.com Overview Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) quantifies the heat absorbed by a macromolecule as it undergoes a conformational or structural change. DSC is used to study a wide range of thermal transitions in biological systems, to determine melting temperatures as well as thermodynamic parameters associated with these changes. Because proteins in aqueous solutions are in equilibrium between their folded and unfolded states, DSC allows measurement of the number of intermediate steps that occur during a protein's denaturation process.
